'Laugh It Up' Product Proposal
Product description:
Our product is a comedy festival, with teasers on T.V. supporting upcoming comedians as well as well known ones. The festival will last 5 weeks, but it will tour around a few locations so people in different local areas can attend/apply to be part of the show. The teaser ads will be around 2 minutes long of an upcoming comedian telling a few jokes, with the ‘laugh it up’ website address at the bottom and will appear after comedy programmes on T.V. Our comedy festival will be called “laugh it up” and we will design tickets, posters, logos etc.
Target Audience:
Our target audience will be people aged in their late teens to mid 30’s. This will be for both genders. People who are into comedy, like to support smaller acts and like to go to events etc.
Competitive Environment:
Our competitors would be other festivals that are out there already, such as Manchester Comedy Festival, Greenwich Comedy Festival etc. We would combat this by hosting our even in winter, as most are held in summer and good weather is not essential for comedy gigs. Also, not as many events happen in winter so people will be looking for things to do without making audiences choose between a comedy and music festival for example.
Proposed Price:
Tickets will be priced around £10-£40 depending on which show/evening they wish to see.
Place/Distribution:
Tickets would be available from sites such as Ticketmaster, but also we will create a website for ‘Laugh It Up’ festival where customers can also buy tickets from.
SWOT Analysis:
Strength: A strength about this idea is that it appeals to a wide target audience.
Weaknesses: A weakness is that it is not completely original.
Opportunities: An opportunity to expand could be that the even could be held in different countries.
Threats: Threats would be if we did not sell enough tickets, the show might not be able to happen.
